General Guide
The following provides a quick reference for all the commands, functions, and operations that are available with the application.
Menu Bar
The menu bar provides a number of pull-down menus.
File Menu
[N
ew] Opens a new layout window.
[O
pen...] Opens an existing layout window.
[C
lose] Closes the active layout window.
[S
ave] Saves the active layout window, replacing any previously saved version.
[Save A
s...] Saves the active layout window under a different name.
[Conf
iguration...] Opens a dialog box for directory settings and other settings.
[P
rint...] Prints the contents of the active layout window.
[M
erge Print...] Prints the contents of the active layout window, automatically merging specified data.
[1
XXXX.LYT] Shows the name of the previously opened layout file.
[Ex
it] Exits the application.
Edit Menu
[U
ndo] Undoes the last field move, enlarge, reduce, or alignment operation.
[Edit L
ayout...] Opens a dialog box for changing the tape type, tape length, tape width, number of copies and tape direction settings.
[A
dd Field] Displays the following six submenu items.
[Add Text Field...] Adds a field for input of text.
[Add Graphic Field...] Adds a field for display of a graphic.
[Line] Select to draw a straight line.
[Rectangle] Select to draw a rectangle.
[Ellipse] Select to draw an ellipse.
[Polygon] Select to draw a polygon.
[D
elete Field] Deletes the currently selected field.
[Change
Field] Displays the following two submenu items.
[Change Text Field...] Displays a dialog for changing text direction, background transparency, style, layout, etc.
[Change Graphic Field...] Displays a dialog for changing a graphic.
[Cut
Field] Cuts the selected field.
[C
opy Field] Copies the selected field.
[P
aste Field] Pastes a copied or cut field.
[Select All F
ields] Selects all the fields on the display.

erge Data...] Opens a dialog box for creation of data for merging.

mport Table Data...] Imports table data for merge printing.
[S
ave to Library...] Saves text and graphics to a library.
Alignment Menu
[A
lign Fields] Displays the following six submenu items.
[L
eft] Aligns selected fields on their left edges.
[R
ight] Aligns selected fields on their right edges.
[T
op] Aligns selected fields on their top edges.
[B
ottom] Aligns selected fields on their bottom edges.
[H
orizontal] Aligns selected fields on their horizontal center lines.
[V
ertical] Aligns selected fields on their vertical center lines.
[Space Fields E
venly] Displays the following two submenu items.
[H
orizontal] Spaces all fields evenly between the leftmost and rightmost fields.
[V
ertical] Spaces all fields evenly between the topmost and bottommost fields.

orizontal] Centers selected field between left and right sides of print area.

ertical] Centers selected field between top and bottom of print area.

imensions] Displays the following three submenu items.

idth] Makes selected fields the same width.

ack] Moves the selected field to the back of a stack of fields.
Settings Menu

ont...] Specifies the font and size for text field text.

en...] Specifies the pen for drawing.

l Pattern...] Specifies the fill pattern for text and drawing.

hadow/Raised Pattern...] Specifies the shadow and raised pattern for text field text.

ackground Graphics...] Specifies graphic data for the background of the tape.
View Menu
[G
rid...] Opens a dialog box to toggle a display grid on and off.
[T
oolbar] Toggles display of the tool bar on and off.
[S
tatus Bar] Toggles display of the status bar on and off.

00%] Displays the screen at normal size.
[2
00%] Displays the screen at twice normal size.
[4
00%] Displays the screen at four times normal size.
