When using CLAB with a CA SIO Graphic Calculator CLAB is controlled by the E‐

CONprogramrunningonthecalculator.Thecollecteddataaretransferredtothe

calculatoranddependingontheselectedmeasurementmodemeasurementdata

appear during the data collection (real‐time mode) or after the measurement is



finished.

1.CLABandCASIOGraphicCalculators

TheCASIO GraphicCalculatorsthathaveE‐CONsoftwareinstalledcanbeusedfor

datacollectionwithCLAB.

ToconnectCLABtoaCASIOGraphicCalculator

Use the data  communication cable with 3‐pin jack connectors (SB‐62) provided

withyourCASIOCalculator.

 Connectoneendofthedata

communicationcabletoyourcalculator.

 ConnecttheotherendofthecabletotheCASIOCalculatorportonyourCLAB.

 TurnonCLABandyourCASIOGraphicCalculator.

 Ifyouexperienceproblemswithcommunicationmakesurethatbothplugsare

fullyinsertedinthecommunicationports.



2.E‐CONsoftware

E‐CON is a menu‐driven calculator application developed by CASIO. It allo ws

configuring experiments with CLAB, collecting the data via connected sensors,

graphingandprocessingthecollecteddata.
